ORElogy to Present at GECCO 2010

As testimony to the transformational research and development that ORElogy has undertaken over the last 3 years, Christie Myburgh (R&D Manager, ORElogy) and Professor Kalyanmoy Deb (Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur) had their paper “Evolutionary Algorithms in Large Scale Open Pit Mine Scheduling” accepted by the assessment panel for GECCO (Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference) The paper has also been nominated for the award of best conference paper, and will be delivered as a full paper at the conference July 7-10, 2010 in Portland, Oregon.

“The R&D Team has put in a lot of hard work over the last 3 years, so from a professional recognition perspective ORElogy is pleased that Christie’s paper has been so well received by the mathematical community, and to be nominated for best conference paper is really satisfying.”

Steve Craig, Managing Director, ORElogy

As a result of the transformation R&D, ORElogy recently launched their revolutionary mine scheduling solution called evORElution.

evORElution addresses all the key scheduling problems of; handling large multi-model datasets, many planning periods, multiple objectives and constraints, utilising a single data-set for strategic, medium and short term planning, and the production of multiple scheduling scenarios.

So if you think you’ll be in Portland, Oregon in July, drop Christie an email (cmyburgh [at] orelogy [dot] com), I’m sure he’d be pleased to catch-up with you.
